BAM! Youth Productions - Summer Film Screening

Join BAM! Youth Productions for a powerful evening of youth-led storytelling and community celebration.

This film screening honors months of hard work, creativity, and collaboration by seven local youth who’ve spent their summer learning the art of filmmaking. As part of BAM!’s 2025 production series, they’ve created two original works that reflect their voices, their questions, and their connection to this community.

With support from the incredible team at 970West Library Studios and the guidance of Loving Beyond Understanding staff, our youth had access to professional tools, mentorship, and a safe, affirming space to grow their skills and stories.

What to Expect: A bold music video premiere featuring BAM! youth and local duo T&C Mining Co., filmed with 970West Library Studios, followed by a youth-directed short documentary exploring a story deeply rooted in the Grand Junction community.

Evening Schedule: Event Schedule: 5:30 PM — Doors Open, 6:10 PM — Welcome & Opening Remarks, 6:25 PM — Music Video Screening, 6:40 PM — Documentary Screening, 7:05 PM — Youth Director Panel, 7:30 PM — Event Close.

Parking Info: CMU enforces parking until 6:00 PM. If you arrive before then, a printed event parking pass must be displayed on your windshield—available at the entrance. Parking is free after 6:00 PM.

This event is free and open to the public. Light concessions will be available, and we’ll be accepting donations at the door to support future youth-led creative work.
