Fulwell Ranger Programme is Teaming up with COAST Sunderland, Wear Rivers Trust and Durham Wildlife Trust for a morning of Himalayan balsam clearing along the dene. Balsam is an invasive plant that crowds out our native wildflowers, so pulling it up makes a real difference to the area.
The trusts are bringing all the tools, so you just need to turn up ready to muck in. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and sturdy footwear. No experience needed — it's easy, satisfying work and a good way to spend a morning outdoors.
If we clear it all, we might follow up with a quick litter pick too. Come along, lend a hand and help look after our local green spaces. All welcome #FulwellRanger #TakeprideinFulwell
