Master Dance! This series of Saturday workshops at the Concordia Ballroom will give you the fundamentals you need to dance any style of dance with a partner, including Latin (salsa, bachata, cha cha, tango, rumba), smooth (foxtrot, waltz), swing, two-step, even polka! Each session will provide building blocks on how to move, how to lead and follow, and how to translate music into dance expression.Saturdays: Nov 16, 2024; Jan 18, Feb 22, March 22, April 5, 2025
Nov 16 Schedule
10 AM Foundation and Fundamentals
Description: Dive into the basics of rhythm, timing, and basic dance steps that form the foundation of all dance forms.
1 PM Dance Posture and Movement
Description: Focus on posture, movement efficiency, and basic footwork that ensures fluidity and grace in your dances.
3 PM Introduction to Styles
Description: Get introduced to various dance styles, learning entry-level moves and transitions.
No partner needed!
Dress Code: Comfortable clothing and dance shoes (preferably suede soles, or hard-soled shoes). Avoid tennis shoes to prevent injuries.
Three sessions each day: $30/person/session, $80 for all three sessions. Season Pass is $400 per person, which includes the Dinner/Dance on April 5, 2025.
