Ballet Partnering (Pointe) Workshop

Step into the art of connection and elevate your technique at Leigh Purtill Ballet Company’s exclusive partnering workshop, where you’ll master elegant lifts, promenades, and assisted pirouettes with expert guidance from seasoned performers.

Classes will be led by LPBC veteran dancers, Jamie Haley and Jim Luna.

Date: Saturday, May 23, 2026

Time: 2:00-5:00PM

Skill level requirements:

•Partner en pointe must have at least 1 year of pointe experience; Partner en flat should have some ballet experience ( will be the lifter or stabilizer)

•All genders for partner en pointe/partner en flat, age 18 and older

•No partner necessary to register

There will be recording or photography taken during some of the classes.

Leigh Purtill Ballet Company is an amateur adult ballet company that was created with one mission: to foster a community of ballet dancers that is reflective of anyone and everyone who wants to participate. We believe ballet is for everyone!

Jamie Haley

Jamie Haley has been a member of the Leigh Purtill Ballet Company since 2019 and has a degree in Theatre and Dance. She currently teaches adult classical ballet and other dance genres with a focus on technique and proper placement. Jamie has extensive experience with partnering dance and teaches yoga and conditioning.

Jim Luna

Jim Luna has been a member of the Leigh Purtill Ballet Company since 2017. He has taught partnering classes at a variety of ballet companies and studios for 25 years and firmly believes anyone can learn to partner. Throughout his career, Jim has danced with the American School of Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, San Diego Ballet and Pacific Dance Theatre.
