Love is in the air… and on the stage!
This February, the Majestic Theatre invites you to an evening positively glowing with romance, music, and candlelight. Ballads By Candlelight is a beautifully intimate concert brought to you by Majestic Productions — our in-house team of volunteer creatives — featuring guest vocalists, a live string quartet, and piano, all supported by musicians from the Northern Musical Theatre Orchestra.
From sweeping love songs to soulful serenades, you’ll be treated to an elegant selection of romantic favourites — the kind that make you sigh, smile, or maybe even hold hands (we won’t judge). Expect lush harmonies, heartfelt melodies, and just enough sparkle to make Cupid blush.
It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season of love — whether you’re sharing it with that special someone, a group of friends, or just indulging in a night of musical self-care. (After all, who says romance is only for couples?)
As always, every penny raised goes straight back into the Majestic Theatre, helping us keep the heart of Retford’s arts community beating strong. So come for the music, stay for the atmosphere, and leave knowing you’ve helped love — and live performance — shine a little brighter.
