The culminating event of a 2-day residency with Endicott College and the Rockport Public, global Silk-Road ensemble musicians Balla Kouyaté and Mike Block will perform with their 6-piece band in the tradition of West African Djeli and modern fusion music. Students will join in to participate in singing, playing a variety of instruments, and movement in relation to the tradition. Co-sponsored with the following entities: The Tadler Center for the Humanities, The Endicott Center for Oral History, The Center for Belonging and Inclusion, Endicott Trustee, Ravi Vig and The Big Giving Day Challenge for Academic Affairs, Spread Your Wings: The Campaign for Endicott College, The Office of International Studies, and the Rockport Cultural Council.
