We zijn terug na de zomerstop. Kom genieten van een gezellige bal met Simone Bottasso en Trio MD&A!
Voorafgaand aan het bal is er een initiatie, verzorgd door Iris Dijkstra, voor iedereen die Balfolk een keer wil uitproberen. Deelname aan deze workshop is gratis voor iedereen die een kaartje heeft.

SIMONE BOTTASSO
De van oorsprong Italiaans Simone Bottasso is een muzikale duizendpoot. Hij is thuis in de Occitaanse en Franse folkmuziek, maar ook in klassiek, jazz, funk, rock, moderne en elektronische muziek. De combinatie geeft zijn muziek een unieke sound. Misschien ken je hem al van Duo Bottasso waarbij hij speelt met zijn broer Nicolo, maar ook alleen zet hij met zijn accordeon een indrukkende balfolk set neer.
TRIO MD&A
Trio MD&A is het verhaal van drie Gentse vrienden met een grote liefde voor Celtic folk. Michael Boere (Four of a Kind, Celtic Sparks, Sanseveria), Davy Cautaerts (Aérokorda, Sanseveria) en Adriaan Van Wonterghem (Aérokorda, Boreas, Sanseveria) delen hun passie voor de muziek en het plezier van samen spelen.
Met uilleann pipes, whistles, octaafmandoline en gitaar brengen ze de Keltische sfeer helemaal tot leven, met een repertoire vol stevige jigs, opzwepende andros, lyrische walsen en knallende reels.

SIMONE BOTTASSO
Originally Italian, Simone Bottasso is a musical jack-of-all-trades. He is at home in Occitan and French folk music, but also in classical, jazz, funk, rock, modern, and electronic music. This combination gives his music a unique sound. You might already know him from Duo Bottasso, where he plays with his brother Nicolo, but he also delivers an impressive balfolk set solo with his accordion.
TRIO MD&A
Trio MD&A is the story of three Ghent friends with a great love for Celtic folk. Michael Boere (Four of a Kind, Celtic Sparks, Sanseveria), Davy Cautaerts (Aérokorda, Sanseveria), and Adriaan Van Wonterghem (Aérokorda, Boreas, Sanseveria) share their passion for music and the joy of playing together.
With uilleann pipes, whistles, octave mandolin, and guitar, they bring the Celtic atmosphere to life with a repertoire full of driving jigs, rousing andros, lyrical waltzes, and fiery reels.
