It's time to get excited! Jennifer Barnett is coming to Ottawa! Jennifer is an amazing Balboa dancer and teacher who is based in New York City, and she's coming here! The format will be a little different from our usual monthly socials. Jennifer will teach two group classes, and then we'll have some social dancing (see schedule below).
This workshop is for people who already dance some Balboa. There will not be a beginner lesson. Prerequisite knowledge is all of the fundamentals: both basics (uphold and downhold), come-around, out & ins, lollies, toss-outs, paddles, side scoots.
Schedule:
1:00 - doors open
1:15 - 2:15 - first class
2:15 - break
2:30 - 3:30 - second class
3:30 - break
3:45 - 4:45 - social dancing (DJ'd)
Cost:
From now until March 23rd, cost is $40 per person for the full afternoon. After March 23rd, it goes up to $50. To get the $40 rate, payment must be made in full by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 23rd. Payment can be made in cash or e-transfer.
Registration:

Location: 1574 Walkley Road, second floor (entrance is at the back). There is free parking at the back and at the little strip mall next door. A note about the venue: there are some signs still for DanceTown Studio. It's is no longer in operation, but there is still a studio there, under different management, and some of the DanceTown signs are still up.
