Join Jenia and Louis for the first edition of a series of planned workshops in Bristol!
In these workshops, Jenia and Louis will be focusing on the fundamentals and history of Balboa, rhythm, swing, pure-bal and bal-swing, and some cool moves too!
Each workshop will have a theme that you can implement in your social dancing, and will be followed be a teacher assisted practice session where you can work on the content and have fun dancing with your friends!
Level: Intermediate - Dancers should be comfortable with up/down holds, ad-lib steps, out and ins, throw-outs, and be comfortable social dancing at a range of tempos.
The first workshop in the series will be on the 25th of January 2025 at 14:00-16:30.

Jenia began her dance journey in 2012 and started teaching just a year later. Initially focusing on Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz, she soon discovered her passion for Balboa. Since then, she travelled to numerous festivals, honing her skills, competing, and placing in competitions. Having previously taught Balboa in Bristol, she is thrilled to return to her local scene, sharing her love for the dance.
After a fortuitous injury, Louis decided to try out swing dancing classes to help him recover. He instantly fell in love with swing and hasn't looked back. After spending 5 years learning and traveling to dance the Lindy Hop, the Balboa caught Louis' eye and what started out as a curiosity quickly turned into a passion. One night while social dancing in London, Louis met Isabella Ling and with her help and inspiration he committed himself to learning this magical dance!
