* film clips by Evanston filmmaker Susan Hope Engel. Engel chronicled the stories of courageous Northshore women for the YWCA’s YWomen program from 2008-2024. We will show two inspiring clips: profiles of theater maker Gloria Bond Clunie and activist philanthropist Marjorie Craig Benton
* Bond Clunie and Craig Benton will join us share their stories and what "Balancing the Scales” means to them
* A mini-exhibition from the archives of the YWCA, highlighting the Y’s work empowering women
* Music by Evanston-based singer-songwriter Sarah Marie Young * Poetry on demand by Kro, The Traveling Typist
* Tea, coffee, punch and treats will be served in the beautiful Dawes House
Tickets $10, free to Evanston History Center members.
