Join us at Le Phantom Farm in Stanwood Washington for another Balance & Comfort Clinic! Deanna Pries Horsemanship of Shade Tree Stables & Hug Your Horse are coming back to the PNW for another exciting 2 day clinic! Offering their combined knowledge & expertise to help horses and handlers understand how to work together in a healthy & comfortable way. Their primary focus is understanding the horses body & mind to create a successful relationship between horse & handler.
The theories being presented in this clinic are:
Day 1 - “Proper and Improper Movement, Training your Eye”
Here we will discuss how each part of the spine should be working in the horse, and then we go over images showing what is healthy movement and will promote longevity, and then we go over images of movement that won't promote longevity.
Day 2 - Anatomy Related to Saddle Fit - This class will discuss what parts of the horse is affected by saddles & girths. Attendants will be taught what to look for in saddle fit and will leave with a better understanding of where their saddle sits & how to identify poor & good fit. A better understanding of what muscles, bony structures & soft tissues involved in healthy movement under saddle will be the primary focus. Tiffani is a certified saddle fitter and will be offering 1:1 saddle fittings after her presentation and demonstration.
Each morning will start with about an hour and a half of class time. Once class is finished, participants will then start their 45 minute 1:1 lessons with Deanna each day. The lessons can be focused on whatever you want to work on with your horse be it ground work, Liberty work or riding work. You have the option of participating 1 day or both days. Auditors get the chance to attend both classes and watch each unique session as Deanna works with horse and handlers 1 on 1.
Deanna is a NBCAAM approved educator. By attending this clinic you will receive a discount code for her Online Library “Setting Your Horse Up for Success”. Professionals in the field will receive a total of 10 hours of Continuing Education credits for their purchase of the Online Library.
