BALADI returns to Butterfly 73 this August for a special co-headline show featuring David K and SAL.
Making his highly anticipated Perth debut, David K is one of Australia’s most exciting live percussion performers. Blending dynamic live percussion with Arabic anthems, global club sounds and contemporary edits, David has built a reputation for high-energy performances that move beyond the stage and directly into the crowd.
With more than 160,000 followers and a catalogue of viral performance clips, he has developed a distinctive style that brings cultural influences together with the energy of modern nightlife.
Sharing the headline is BALADI’s own SAL — the curator behind the BALADI sound and one of Perth’s most dynamic selectors. Her genre-fluid sets move effortlessly through Afrobeats, R&B, Hip Hop, house, Middle Eastern rhythms and sounds from across the globe.
Her journey has taken her from Perth to stages across Los Angeles and Italy, performing alongside artists including Joe Kay, Jarreau Vandal, Musa Keys and DJ Maphorisa.
Having previously shared the stage at Late Lunch in Sydney, SAL and David already know how to move a room together — her selections and his live percussion complementing each other seamlessly.
Now, they bring that connection to Perth for one special night at BALADI.
