Join us for a serene morning Baithak with Ustad Shakir Khan on Sitar accompanied by Shri. Ravi Albright on Tabla!
Kansen baithaks seek to restore melody to its primal role in the presentation of raga music by presenting it in the intimate setting of a traditional baithak .

Admission: There is no formal admission fee although voluntary contributions are welcome (see below). Entry is by sign-up only via evite link below till head-count hits venue capacity.

Kansen Baithaks are an initiative of the the V.G. Jog Foundation, a registered WA corporation which has filed for recognition as a public charitable entity under the Internal Revenue Code. Voluntary contributions to support the event can be directed via Zelle to Rajib Doogar @ 217.778.3666, via GooglePay, Paypal or Venmo to [email protected]. All contributions are eligible for tax deductions, documentation will be provided for contributions in excess of USD $250.
In case you're unsure about how much to contribute, $30 per head is a good starting point. More is always welcome, the entire gate is always paid to the artists with a top off if necessary - in other words, the entire gate always goes to the performers.
