Mark your calendars! We’re back on Friday, August 28th at The Gateway Plaza at FDR Park for Bailar en FDR!
Join the Fairmount Park Conservancy and DJ Valentin Flores of Dance Philly for an exciting evening on select Fridays from 7 PM to 11 PM. Experience vibrant culture, meet new friends, and discover a fun way to stay fit while dancing!
Event Details:
- 7 PM - 8 PM : Enjoy a one-hour dance lesson suitable for all levels, led by a skilled instructor.
- 8 PM - 11 PM : Social dance to keep the energy going!
📍 Location: Gateway Plaza at FDR Park, Broad and Pattison, Philadelphia, PA 19145.
This accessible space features custom benches, bike racks, water misters, and more.
TICKETS: FREE! Please RSVP. Donations are appreciated to support ongoing free programs in the park.

What to Know Before You Go:
- Feel free to join for the lesson, the social dance, or both!
- Taqueria Morales will be on-site, accepting cash, card, or Venmo.
- All ages and skill levels welcome—minors must be with an adult.
- Dress for the weather as the event is outdoors.
- Recommended footwear: sneakers with cushioned soles (the plaza surface is concrete with small pebbles).
- Nearby porta-potties available.
- Bring your own water and snacks (no drinking fountains).
- Don’t forget sunscreen and bug spray!
