Bahut Bada Sawaal

The play centers around a formal meeting or committee gathering where various characters assemble to discuss, debate, and pass a resolution (prastaav).

Bureaucratic paralysis, empty intellectualism, useless committee meetings, and how organizational systems get completely bogged down in trivial debates instead of solving real issues.

Instead of taking direct action or addressing the core subject of the resolution, the participants including figures like Secretary Sharma and other vocal members get trapped in endless semantic arguments.

Bahut Bada Sawaal

a well-known one-act play (ekanki) written by the prominent modern Hindi author Mohan Rakesh.
