Amenities - Boutique and Health Hut (gift shop), free wireless internet, laundry (laundry facilities on the premises with tokens and laundry powder for sale in the Boutique). The Well Being Center offers a variety of healing modalities for you to attend to the needs of your body and mind. Enjoy nurturing and healing treatments (additional cost) and consultations with one of their skilled practitioners. Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat Bahamas is located a short distance from Atlantis.
Yoga Vacationers are invited to follow the ashram’s Daily Schedule, which includes plenty of time for the beach as well as socializing, learning, and relaxing.
Morning starts the day at 6:00 a.m. with the serenity of early morning meditation. The clear sea air and radiant dawn aid the mind to focus and the body to be still. Half an hour of silent meditation is followed by joyful chanting, a spiritual talk or reading, and closing prayers.
Next at 8:00 a.m. comes a two-hour class of asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (yogic breathing techniques), and relaxation that invigorates and refreshes the body and mind.
Brunch awaits at 10:00 a.m.
Midday Create your own optimal afternoon schedule. Take an experiential workshop, attend a lecture or enjoy a healing art session. Study, swim, relax on the beach, or go snorkeling. Have a snack break at the Health Hut, meet new or old friends or take time to read a book in the tropical gardens.
Afternoon starts the third part of your day with a 4:00 p.m. yoga class. Feel how your body achieves maximum stretch at this time and the great progress that can be made. Observe as your breath gets calmer and your mind clearer in the serenity of your afternoon practice.
Dinner will await you at 6:00 p.m.
After dinner, take an early evening walk on the beach, enjoying the beautiful sunset. Evening Satsang (meditation, chanting and talk) completes the day at 8:00 p.m. During the evening satsang we usually enjoy a concert, a dance performance or a talk by one of our special guests. Lights-off is around 10:00 p.m.
