This event is limited to the first 25 youth ages 7-14 to register on May 5, 2026 at 12pm on our Lonsdale Chamber Facebook page. Kids must be a Lonsdale resident. This event does fill up the first day so be sure to register early. Event will be held rain or shine.The Lonsdale Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the 4th Annual Badges & Bobbers event designed to teach Lonsdale youth how to fish, while interacting with Officers and Fire Fighters.
Badges & Bobbers wants to hook kids on fishing. It allows youth to meet local police officers and fire fighters in a safe, positive and friendly setting.
On Friday, June 12, 2026 Badges & Bobbers will be held at the Hidden Willow Pond/Rezac Nature Preserve Fishing Pier on Pond View Dr SE from 11:00am-2:00pm.
Fishing For Life will present a short presentation and teach kids how to cast, identify fish, safety and more. We will provide kids with fishing poles, bait, minnow races, drawings, lunch, drinks, t-shirts and the opportunity to fish with local Officers & Fire Fighters.
During the event, children will be grouped with Officers/Fire Fighters/Staff and will fish the Rezac Nature Preserve Fishing Pier. Parents are welcome to stay and watch unfortunately, only Officers/Fire Fighters/Staff are allowed on the pier.
