This is a free training run for Bad Ass Backyard Ultra (race day is March 28th).Come run the course with the RD and fellow participants! (You do not have to be registered for BABU to join this training run. All are welcome!)
This is a great way to familiarize yourself with the course and get a sense of what pace you'll need to maintain to complete each loop/yard before the next one begins - excellent practice for race day!
This is just a training run - BYO water, electrolytes, fuel, etc.
Your RD will lead the first few yards, so no one gets lost. Run as many loops as you'd like.
For proper race-day training, we'll start each yard on the hour mark - same as the standard Backyard Ultra format.
Not familiar with the Backyard Ultra format? Here's how it goes on "race day": Runners will have one hour to complete each 4.16 mile loop. Each new loop/yard will begin every hour, on the hour. If a runner is not in the start corral, ready to begin the next yard, on the hour mark, they're out. The runner who completes the most yards wins.
