Over the course of four in-person meetings, we will guide you through the hows, whys, wheres, and whens of ecological landscape design for your specific property. As you develop a comprehensive plan for your yard, you will also learn about:
🍃 Oakland County's natural history
🍂 How to choose beneficial plants
🌿 Invasive species identification and treatment
🐝 Best practices for pollinators
🏡 Designing around utilities and problem areas
🐢 and so much more!
Upon completion of the course, your property will qualify as an Oakland Conservation District Certified Wildlife Habitat, complete with yard signage.
Cost: $80 per person attending.
Limited capacity, pre-registration required. Please bring a wifi-capable laptop to each class.
