Backyard Concert: Thomas Corriell and Zane Ogden
another Backyard Concert Series on the Lohman Lawn. This year we bring back some old favorites and upcoming talent. These are
family-friendly, BYOC (bring your own chair) events, so bring your
blankets, lawn chairs and picnic suppers for a summer of music that captures Missouri's music traditions past and present.
The first concert of the series features Thomas Corriell, a master artist in Missouri Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program, and his
apprentice Zane Ogden. Enjoy traditional Missouri fiddling at the
Landing on June 13 from 7 to 8 p.m.
The Missouri Folk Arts Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program is
supported by the Missouri Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts.
Note: In case of rain, concerts will be moved inside the Lohman
Building. Space will be limited, but please come and join us.
The Friends of the Missouri State Museum will have a table at the event. They are raising money to help conserve the museum's historic flag collection. For a cash donation (minimum suggested donation $3), you'll recieve a Missouri Made chips and soda pop.
