Come join us for a fun, interactive overview of birding in your own backyard! The program will cover the basics of bird identification, tools for success, and how to attract birds to your backyard.About the Speaker: Jim McGinity is a biologist and environmental educator passionate about birds since the age of seven. He has worked in nature centers across Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Florida, establishing bird banding stations in Milwaukee and Dunedin. His focus includes the significance of native plants and healthy ecosystems for birds. Now residing in Dunedin for 21 years, he enjoys Floridaβs natural areas. Transitioning from over 20 years in non-formal education, he currently teaches at an environmental charter school (K-8) and seeks collaboration with researchers and educators to enhance conservation efforts for neotropical migrants.
