Meet at the Cuivre River State Park visitor center to learn about the Great Backyard Bird Count and the skills/tools you can use to participate in this global community science program. We will discuss ebird (the Cornell Lab of Ornithology app), common backyard bird species, bird identification, and then complete a count together around the Visitor Center.
We do not have WIFI. You may want to download the ebird and the Merlin Bird ID apps before attending if you would like to follow along and get practice with them during the program.
Apps are not mandatory to participate. If you complete your own count, you can submit your bird observations on the ebird website.
