Calling all birders, seasoned and novice! Join us for a Backyard Bird Walk in Stackhouse Park with Allegheny Plateau Audubon Society.
Meet at the Ranger Station near the Luzerne Street entrance. Dress for outdoor temps and plan for about a mile long walk, with the option for a longer walk depending on conditions. If weather is hazardous, walk will be cancelled.
Cambria County Library will provide a free DIY pinecone bird feeder to take home, and there'll be plenty of birding resources on hand. We will also have information available about free birding and nature apps, including iNaturalist and Merlin. Participants can also learn how to become part of the City Nature Challenge in Cambria County and join a global collaboration to document and celebrate biodiversity in our region!
