Back Up Kid "Skirts the edge of emo, but land firmly in a driving, alternative rock sound" as stated by Griffin Smalley of RVA mag. They have been playing together in the DIY Virginia scene for the past 5 years.

Focusing on melody and dynamics, Back Up Kid seeks to create musical moments and create impact for show goers. They have honed their sound and charisma cutting their teeth in homey venues such as Crayola house and Ipanema Cafe. More recently you might have caught them at venues like The Camel and Banditos.
