Noon: “Patriot Way” on 2nd Street - First Responders & Military service members with their vehicles and equipment until 2:00 PM
Our annual remembrance will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Northern Virginia and the downing of the airplane in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, that occurred on September 11, 2001.
Our program begins with a free concert by Jim O’Ferrell at 10:30 AM in our Heilman Amphitheater and finishes with our “Patriot Way” on 2nd Street with First Responders & Military service members with their vehicles and equipment until 2:00 PM.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for the free concert at 10:30 AM in order to be in place for the 11 AM program.
Admission and parking are free and we will be open from 9 AM to 4 PM. The Virginia War Memorial’s documentary film, A New Century, A New War, will be played in our Reynolds Theater throughout the day.
