Love Fashion? Want to design your own clothing? Learn how to create garments from scratch! Work with fashion designer, Elena Victoria, to make your very own garment. Children ages 7-14, all levels of experience are welcome. Students who have their own sewing machines are encouraged to bring them to class. Supplies and materials will be provided including sewing machines, fabrics, trims, buttons, as well as a light snack. Elena Victoria is a young fashion designer from Chicago who is using her love for fashion and design to positively impact the lives of so many. Since 2010, Elena has hosted camps and classes for students of all ages who share the same passion for sewing and fashion design. Elena finds reward in her work because of her biggest mission, building self-confidence in young children. After completing her bachelor's degree in Fashion Design & Technology at Purdue University, Elena worked as a designer for Abercrombie Kids, creating unique designs for their denim line. From there, she left the company to chase after her dream of designing for her private label and teaching youth how to sew. Seven years later, students all over the Metro Detroit and Chicago area are participating in her fun-filled sewing and design classes, leaving with a new sense of accomplishment and joy. The private label, Elena Victoria, is a specialty custom dress business that helps women of any age look good and feel great in a gown specifically made for them.
