Back-to-School Celebration for Our Young Scholars: Volunteer Opportunity

Glide Memorial Church will be hosting a Back-to-School Celebration for Our Young Scholars! Since this event is for children, only volunteers with a completed background check will be permitted- please email Freddy Martin, [email protected], as well as RSVP'ing through this form, for assistance completing or verifying your background check.

The backpacks will be distributed to families determined to be in the most need in the Tenderloin at GLIDE’s Family, Youth and Childcare Center, GLIDE’s Family Resource Center, GLIDE Housing, and GLIDE Kids. Our goal is to equip youth and families with essential and often costly school supplies, ensuring a successful start to the academic year.

If you can't make it to the volunteer event, we encourage you to donate here-- our families need your help!

We also need help stuffing the backpacks the day before our Back-to-School Celebration, and that volunteer opportunity does not require a background check. You can RSVP for the backpack stuffing here.
