Join us for a family‑friendly BioBlitz adventure at Bedwell Bayfront Park as we explore the Refuge’s Flyway Trail together.
About this Event

Kick off the school year with family-friendly BioBlitz! Experienced naturalists and docents will lead you through the park’s diverse habitats as we look for signs of wildlife and document as many species as we can in 2 hours using iNaturalist. Think of it as a real‑life scavenger hunt where the wildlife becomes your cast of characters and every discovery helps build real community‑science data.

Perfect for curious kids, families, and anyone eager for outdoor exploration. Bring your smartphone or camera, comfortable shoes, and your sense of discovery. Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or just learning the difference between a curlew and a cormorant - all are welcome. No experience is needed.

We’ll meet in the Bedwell Bayfront parking lot, adjacent to the bathrooms, before heading out. The trail is flat, compacted dirt with benches along the way, making this an easy, accessible adventure for all ages.
