ABOUT SABRINA
Sabrina Hahn has been involved in the horticultural industry in Western Australia for over 35 years implementing works for both private and commercial landscaping projects in regional and urban spaces. Her broad knowledge of flora combined with a science-based background in soil science, botany and natural systems is reflected in her ability to design landscapes that are more sustainable and suited for both soil type, climate and topography.
Sabrina draws on her extensive knowledge of both native and Mediterranean plants that suit the purpose of the area but also to be distinctive, beautiful, and derived from the Western Australian landscape.
Over the past 10 years her focus has been on encouraging gardeners to consider their spaces as shared spaces for local fauna to thrive. Sabrina has become a loud advocate for the retention of older trees in urban spaces to cool down neighborhoods in the wake of urban infill.
Her long-term experience and professional reputation in the industry has made her influential in local and state government bodies for consultation on regional and urban open space planning, urban green-space development, and community consultation.
Sabrina Hahn has worked as a presenter and talkback host in gardening for ABC Perth for 27 years which gives her a deeper insight into the challenges of gardening throughout the state. She is highly respected as a professional expert and published author in the horticultural field.
