Join us in store for a free, beginner-focused educational evening at Nelson Hunting & Fishing.
Whether you’ve never fired a firearm, haven’t been on a hunt before, or you’ve just started your journey, this is a casual and informative session designed just for you.
Hosted by our very own Hunting Department Lead, Jordy Douglas, who will apply his active recreational hunting and guiding knowledge to provide an informative tech talk on hunting 101.
What we’ll cover:
• Firearms Basic and Terminology
• How to obtain your firearm licence
• Understanding common calibres
• Choosing the right firearm
• Where to go hunting (DOC land, permits, access)
• Hunting Safety Essentials
• Our top 10 must-have gear items for beginners
There will be plenty of time to ask questions, making this the ideal space for anyone wanting practical, no-pressure guidance.
