Back To Basics: A Coop Workshop by Bhavani Bala

This is a no-pressure, back-to-basics improv workshop focused on the three core rules: Yes, And, Make your partner look good, and Embrace failure.
Through games, short exercises, and simple scene work, we’ll break things down and build them back up by focusing on listening, supporting each other, and letting go of the need to get it “right.” This is about reconnecting with the fundamentals, finding the fun in it, and getting out of your own way.
Open to complete beginners and anyone wanting a reset. Come as you are.

Bhavani (She/They) is an illustrator, improvisor and coach with 12 years of experience under their belt. She has been a regular performer and coach with The Improv Company in Singapore since pretty much the beginning of time and has tried all sorts of wacky formats, like the Sitcom, Survivorprov (yes, that Survivor) , and Kafka-esque improv. She was the artistic director of Indian Improv Theatre Singapore for 3 years, and has also performed with various teams at the Singapore Improv Festival, Manila Improv Festival and the Bengaluru Improv Festival. She’s currently a regular feature at the Improv Cooperative in Glasgow.
Our venue is located next to Queen's Park station, with on-street parking outside (subject to availability). The venue is fully accessible.
