Meet us in the back alley… bring some books, take some books and leave with a stack that’ll tide you over until the next month!The Back Alley Book Swap is free community event that’s all about giving your already-loved stories a second life while connecting with fellow readers in central Kentucky.

⏰ check in — 2:00-2:30pm, Swap — 2:45pm
How it works:
• Arrive between 2:00–2:30PM to check in and enter your books into the swap
• Bring 1–5 fiction books
• You’ll receive 1 ticket per book
• Mingle, browse and grab a coffee from The Amsden or a drink from Amsden Station (tell them you’re with the swap — they’ll hook you up with a to-go cup!)
• The swap will begin promptly at 2:45 PM
When the swap starts, you’ll use your tickets to “shop” the collection of books everyone brought — meaning you get out what you put in ✨ and just in case you don’t find what you’re looking for unused tickets can be redeemed inside the shop for 15% off one book per ticket!
‼️ A note on book condition:
We want this to feel like a really good trade, not a clean-out-your-basement situation 😉
• Books should be in good, loved condition — no stains, tears, mold, bugs, or missing pages
• Bring titles you genuinely enjoyed and think someone else will too
• Contemporary, in-demand reads are the most coveted
• No mass market paperbacks — we aim for an elevated swap experience where quality in = quality out
