Henry Velasquez's journey in the world of bachata began under the tutelage of pioneer Rodchata, where he honed his skills and expertise in this captivating dance form for several years. As an assistant teacher in the Rodchata Teachers Program, Henry's dedication and commitment to mastering the art of bachata were evident, leading to him being awarded a teaching certificate by Rodchata himself. Eager to delve deeper into the nuances of bachata and merengue, Henry sought mentorship from other legendary teachers, after Rodchata, immersing himself in the rich tradition and history of bachata's unique movements.
Today, On his own, Henry is revered by his students, teaching at prestigious dance congresses in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Hawai'i, Reno, and holding weekly classes in the Bay Area. Known for his unwavering dedication to teaching and mastering the fundamentals, Henry's passion for dance shines through in his hardcore approach to instruction. Beloved by his students, Henry's teaching style not only instills a deep understanding of bachata but also inspires a love for social dancing, embodying the essence of a teacher who delights in dancing with everyone.
