Babysitting Safety Course (Online Course + Classroom) Englewood

This course is Child & Babysitting Safety, for youth ages 11-17. This course offers an official Babysitting Safety certification card from the American Safety & Health Institute.

This is a BLENDED LEARNING COURSE (online prework + classroom session.) The online video teaching component takes approximately 2 hours total. Upon registering and within 24 hours, the Babysitting Safety online course will be emailed out for the student to work on and complete prior to the class date. It is a fun course and is geared towards youth. Students must complete the online course in order to attend the in-person skills class.

Course topics: Babysitting as a business; Safety and injury prevention guidelines and best practices; Leadership strategies to build confidence when responding to conflict; Tips on age-appropriate play; How to build rapport and stay engaged with children; Basic caregiving skills such as feeding, burping, diapering, and safe sleep practices; Basic first aid for common incidents. (This is not a Community CPR/AED certification course.)

Location of in-person skills class: Englewood Christian Church, 4316 Barnes Rd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32207, Fellowship Hall.

Upon successful completion of both the online course and the in-person skills class, student will receive digital certification card that can be printed, saved online, etc.

Our cancellation/refund policy:

If cancelling 8-14 days before the class date, 90% of your fee will be refunded. From 4-7 days before class date, 75% is refundable. From 2-3 days before class date, 50% is refundable. From 1 day prior to anytime after the date of the class, 0% is refundable/transferable.
