Babaux & The Peacemakers bring a dynamic, deeply authentic Roots-Rock experience that resonates with audiences across genres and generations. Formed by four of Colorado’s most acclaimed musicians, the band is led by singer/songwriter and dobro stylist Cristian Basso (aka Babaux), whose storied career includes bass work with legends such as Bo Diddley, Leo Nocentelli (The Meters), Papa Mali, and songwriting credits with Eric Lindell. Picking up the dobro sparked a new creative shift for Basso—one that unlocked a raw, honest vocal pocket and a fresh sonic identity that defines the band’s sound.
Joined by Eric Martinez on guitar, Jake Herman on drums, and Mike Davidov on bass, The Peacemakers effortlessly traverse jamband-rootsy grooves, swampy bayou blues, vintage Laurel Canyon textures, and acoustic funk. Each song lands as its own chapter in the modern Roots Music playbook—smooth, gritty vocals laid over rich, multi-layered rhythms and unmistakable chemistry on stage.
