B-Side: HabiBeats Band & Bun Bun

B-Side Music Fridays is a live music series on Friday nights in July and August, featuring Colorado musicians performing in MCA Denver’s rooftop garden. Enjoy an intimate performance from some of the city’s top performers while sipping crafted cocktails and relaxing on the best rooftop deck in Denver.

About the Bands
HabiBeats Band (formerly Eye-yoob & Les Americains 2019-2024) is Colorado’s first queer Levantine band, blending traditional Mediterranean melodies and rich rhythms with modern indie-pop influences. Fronted by Lebanese-American vocalist Mona Ayoub, their original songwriting draws from lived experiences of immigration, identity, resilience, and belonging, creating a cross-cultural soundscape that invites audiences to both reflect and dance.As a fast-rising independent band in the regional scene, the group has commanded stages at major festivals, including FoCoMX and consecutive appearances at the Underground Music Showcase. They have also brought their dynamic live performances to celebrated/Iconic cultural hubs across the state, including the Denver Botanic Gardens, Mercury Cafe, and Bar 404. By seamlessly weaving Arabic and Western musical traditions, HabiBeats Band delivers a joyful, authentic, and utterly rare experience that celebrates diversity and connection through a universal sonic language.

We are Bun Bun!¡! Everybody thinks we met on Craigslist, but the truth is, we didn’t. We are super in love. We got each other the same thing on Valentine's Day. It wasn’t even airhorns. It was narwhal costumes and we wear them every day underneath all of our clothing. We fall asleep to airhorns and sirens every night because we are both maximalists and love chaos. Since starting in 2019 we've opened for Flaming Lips' Brothers Griiin & femme powerhouse Beginners, and played festivals all over the world in Arcosanti, Denver, and San Francisco! Wow! We made spaghetti macaroni and cheese tonight. That’s TWO MEALS IN ONE. Now we make Future~Shock Bass~House Comedic~Instructional Dance Music, and we only make hits. We write songs about all the things we love. We love you, we love bees, buns, hacking, curry, La Croix, narwhals, and spooning. Most of all we love each other. We are suuuuuuper in love. We didn’t meet on Craigslist.
