AZZA Backyard Urban Ultra — 12 HR Edition January 3, 2026 • 8 AM to 8 PM
Running Friends of SWFL presents the Azza Backyard Urban Ultra — a fun, fierce way to start your year! This urban backyard ultra uses a 3-point triangle loop (one triangle every hour on the hour). Each triangle = 4.16 miles. Complete 12 triangles within 12 hours and you’ll have run ~50 miles.

What is a backyard ultra?
• Simple format: everyone runs the same loop(triangle)every hour. You start one loop at the top of each hour.
• If you don’t finish the loop(triangle) before the next hour, you’re done.
• Last runner standing format — but for this event we’ll run a fixed 12-lap limit. Anyone who finishes the 11th triangle will be in for a final, all-out 4.16-mile triangle sprint to the finish.

• Date: January 3, 2026
• Time: 8 AM to 8 PM
• Course: Urban backyard-style — triangle loop (4.16 mi) in an urban setting
• Structure: Limited to 12 triangles (laps). Finish all 12 = ~50 miles.
Prize:
• Winner receives a FREE entry to Death at Dupuis 2026 (Canal Point). Huge thanks to Leo Acosta for donating this prize!
