MĒTZ, meaning Moon in Nahuatl, combines with the Maya word IK, meaning wind – spirit – breath, to form MĒTZ’IK: Spirit of the Moon.
“MĒTZ’IK” is an immersive event where the boundaries between art, music, and nature dissolve. Organized by AZULIK and curated by EPHIMERA, this gathering brings together visionary artists, musicians, and thinkers to create a multi-sensory experience inspired by the Moon. It is an invitation to explore the deep connections between our own heartbeat, the rhythms of the world, and the influence of our mysterious lunar satellite.
