Join Ayurvedic practitioner and medical doctor Dr. Julie Hare and breathwork facilitator Jenn Brooks for a unique afternoon of learning, self-discovery, and embodied experience.
Ayurveda teaches that everything in nature is composed of five elemental forces: earth, water, fire, air, and space. These elements combine to form the three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—which influence our physical health, energy, emotions, digestion, sleep, relationships, and overall well-being.
Each of us contains all three doshas in a unique ratio, creating our individual constitution and shaping how we move through the world. Understanding these patterns can offer profound insight into how we care for ourselves, navigate stress, and cultivate greater balance.
During this immersive workshop, Dr. Julie will guide us through the foundations of Ayurveda, helping us understand the elements, the doshas, and how these energies are reflected not only within our bodies, but throughout nature itself. From the seasons and times of day to the stages of life, Ayurveda reveals the interconnected rhythms that influence us all.
Jenn will then lead an integrative breathwork experience designed to bring these teachings to life. Through breath, awareness, and gentle exploration, you'll have the opportunity to experience the qualities of earth, water, fire, air, and space within your own body and gain a deeper understanding of how the doshas may be expressed through your breath, energy, and nervous system.
All participants will receive a dosha assessment to help uncover their unique constitutional tendencies and continue their exploration of Ayurvedic wisdom beyond the workshop.
Optional Private Ayurvedic Experience with Dr. Julie
For those wishing to deepen their experience, Dr. Julie will offer a limited number of private Shirodhara sessions.
Imagine a warm river of oil flowing gently across your forehead as your body softens, your breath deepens, and your mind settles into stillness.
Shirodhara is one of Ayurveda's most cherished therapies, designed to soothe the nervous system, calm mental activity, and invite profound restoration. Using a continuous stream of warm, herb-infused oil poured across the forehead and scalp, this practice offers a rare opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and enter a state of deep peace.
Space is limited and advance registration is recommended.
