In this free class, we will learn Ayurvedic ways to care for our physical eyes through soothing applications, gazing techniques, and specific eye movements. We will also provide an overview of the “memory-making machine” of the mind, the role the eyes play in it, and a meditative awareness technique that will help cultivate a happier mind.
Libby Allison was introduced to Ayurveda in 2009 by a friend from India and began learning this ancient wisdom through personal application. After several years of self-study, she began formal studies with Yoga Vega Institute, and The Ayurvedic Institute. Dr. Vasant Lad, Founder of The Ayurvedic Institute assessed Libby as "highly spiritual, knowledgeable, and compassionate," qualities that bring her clients from many different walks of life. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of nutrition/cooking, pranayama, meditation, daily/ seasonal cycles, and more with groups and offers personal lifestyle consultations.
