In a continuation of his previous talk at Usada, Michael will explore the more subtle, spiritual side of Ayurveda and its congruency with Buddhism, meditation, mindfulness, and compassion. Come explore how the body effects the mind, the mind effects the body, and how choices we make can become the root cause of our life conditions.
Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this workshop, with a background in Ayurvedic practice, meditation teaching, and mindfulness. Having lived and taught across New York City, Los Angeles, Koh Phangan, and now Ubud, Bali, Michael’s teachings are rooted in both ancient traditions and contemporary practices.
Biography:
Michael has studied and practiced different meditation techniques and traditions, including Vipassana, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Dzogchen, and others. His personal practice is in the Vajrayana (Tibetan) Buddhist tradition. He received his Bachelor's from Florida State University and is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner from Southern California University of Health Sciences. He completed his meditation teacher training at UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC), and is a certified mindfulness teacher through the International Mindfulness Teacher's Association (IMTA).
