Families across South Holland are invited to come along and enjoy Nature Day on Friday 10 April, taking place from 11am until 3pm in Ayscoughfee Gardens in Spalding.Nature Day promises a relaxed, enjoyable and educational day out for all ages, celebrating the amazing wildlife and natural spaces right on our doorstep. Visitors will be able to meet local partners who will be sharing their knowledge about birds, insects, animals and the environment, helping to inspire a love of nature in both children and adults.
There will be plenty of hands-on fun too, including creative arts and crafts, nature-themed activities and the popular Nature Trail, which takes families on a discovery walk around the historic gardens.
Guests can also visit the brand-new bug hotel and bird boxes, beautifully crafted by volunteers from the PE11 Men’s Shed, offering new homes to the garden’s smallest residents.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawns or stop by the Ayscoughfee Café for a drink, snack or special treat.
Nature Day is free to attend and open to everyone, making it the perfect way to enjoy time outdoors, learn something new and get closer to the natural world.
