Axel & Betty are a Swedish-American outlaw country music duo known for their heartfelt performances and unique cross-continental love story. Axel Thorslund hails from Mora, Sweden, while Betty Danger was born in Mora, Minnesota.They connected through Instagram after admiring each other's music and discovered their shared hometowns. Their first in-person meeting was a transatlantic "first date," and they've since maintained a bi-continental relationship, traveling between Sweden and the U.S..
They got married in April of 2023 and are currently living in Minnesota, where they play the majority of their shows.
Musically, Axel & Betty blend traditional outlaw country with modern influences. Their debut original song, "Ain't Broken Anymore," was released in 2022 and is available on major streaming platforms. They also cover John Prine's classic "In Spite of Ourselves," showcasing their versatility.
