Indigo As Ancestral Technology In Yoruba, Dogon, & Gullah Geechee Cosmology
About this Event

Awo Ireti is a cultural indigo experience exploring African textile traditions through Adire, batik, and natural indigo dyeing. Join Bernard of Nebedaye Farms for a hands-on outdoor workshop alongside a live virtual lecture from Nigerian textile artist Adeogun Oluwasegun of Osogbo, one of the historic centers of indigo production. Together we will explore the heritage, techniques, and symbolism behind traditional indigo prints while creating our own designs rooted in this powerful global dye tradition.
