We're thrilled to present Awen Ensemble, a Leeds-based alternative folk jazz collective, as part of Llangollen Fringe Festival's year-round programming! With a name that means ‘poetic inspiration’ in Welsh, Awen Ensemble's music delves deep into folkloric heritage, landscape, and the human mind. Their unique blend of modal tradition, spiritual jazz, and global folk influences creates an enchanting fusion of melody and rhythm, inviting audiences on a reflective journey.
Featuring shimmering instrumentation, spoken word, and a touch of Celtic mystique, Awen Ensemble promises a magical evening of both vocal and instrumental pieces.
