AWAKE: RETREAT
Let us usher in the season of growth, new beginnings, the magic of northern Michigan in spring. Even if it is mud season--Thich Nhat Hanh, the Vietnamese Zen Buddhist spiritual leader, reminds us “No mud, no lotus.” Without suffering through the mud, you cannot find the joy of the lotus. We will gather our bold feminine spirits to create, move, and share stories through art, yoga, sacred circle, and nature.
DATE: Friday, May 3 to Sunday, May 5. Arrive Friday afternoon for an evening of activities. Saturday we will start bright and early and gather into the evening. The retreat will wrap up Sunday by noon. There will be some refreshments and snacks provided, however there will be time in the day for you to eat on your own and explore beautiful Northern Michigan. Stay tuned for a full schedule.
HOSTS: Mary Backlund, Amy Mertz, and Erin Mann are friends rooted in the connection of the physical practice of yoga and in the act of holding space for one another in sacred circles. These ladies bring knowledge spanned over varying generations of life experiences. We are each looking forward to spending time with you in this spring.
LOCATION: Otsego Resort-Option to stay on site or off. Lodging is not included in the retreat price. There are plenty of lodging options at varying price points for you and your friends to stay onsite.
