Join us at AW Fraser for a practical and guided tour through the machined components department, showcasing how one of New Zealand's leading manufacturers and exporters is tackling common production challenges through lean thinking, smart systems, and disciplined processes.
WORKSHOP:
You’ll hear how AW Fraser has focused on reducing downtime, improving changeover times, eliminating unnecessary variations, and ensuring employees have everything they need to succeed from the moment a job begins.

MACHINED COMPONENTS DEPARTMENT TOUR:
During the guided tour of selected areas of the AW Fraser facility, attendees will see first-hand how lean thinking and operational excellence are embedded into day-to-day manufacturing operations. The tour will showcase:
• Changeover processes designed to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
• Standardised work practices that reduce variability and improve consistency
• Visual management systems that help teams quickly access the information they need
• Inventory management processes that improve material visibility and flow
• Workplace organisation and preparation methods that ensure teams are ready before work begins
Note all visitors will be required to bring a second set of clean, closed toe footwear for the machined components department tour section, which will be taken off after the tour.
