Time to learn a new and exciting skill at our upcoming Grafting Workshops — this time, we’re focusing on AVOCADOS! 😋 🥑If you’ve never grafted a tree before and want to learn—this is the best place to start. We’ll show you the tools, tricks, and techniques the pros use to turn a baby tree into a literal avocado factory.
This 90-minute workshop is hosted at our farm.

$45 entry fee covers participation in the workshop and necessary materials:
(2) Avocado rootstocks
(2) Pieces of budwood of your choice (multiple varieties available)
Buddy Tape, knife, and other necessary materials
You'll be invited to try your hand at grafting avocado trees, and will be guided through the most important steps:
-Selecting and harvesting budwood
-Selecting a compatible rootstock
-Using buddy tape to prepare a graft
-Choosing which grafting style to use (cleft, veneer, etc.)
-How to cut your scion and rootstock properly
-How to best secure your graft for healing
-How to tell when your graft has healed, signs of success
-What to do if your graft fails?
-Post grafting plant care
& we will be discussing reasons for grafting, best time of year to graft, creative ways to use grafting to your advantage, etc.
