Join one of our special tours and travel through time. Be entranced by the stories of a house and a family. The tours span almost 1000 years of history witnessed on this one, hilltop site. From William the Conqueror through to modern times the Tower has witnessed the lives of the de Hoghton family and welcomed many famous visitors. It is said that some of these people still make their spectral presence felt on occasions around the house. Let our knowledgeable and friendly guides lead you through history at Hoghton Tower.
The guided tour lasts approximately 1 hour and includes the State Bedroom, the Ballroom and magnificent Banqueting Hall as well as a host of other rooms, all with their own amazing stories.
Please be aware that this tour does not include the Underground or the Well House.
Tours start promptly at the time booked, please arrive a few minutes before your advertised start time to allow time to walk from the car park and to book in.
The house can be cold at this time of year, so please do wrap up.
