Join me at the Autumn Equinox for a balancing blend of Yoga practices designed to keep you in equilibrium as we begin to navigate our way through Autumn.
At this time of the second Equinox of the year, we once again find ourselves at the point of near perfect balance between day and night. The Sun's energy is beginning to fade, the days are shortening and getting colder. The leaves change colour and fall from the trees and the ripening of fruits, nuts, mushrooms and berries is upon us as we gather in our second harvest.
We begin to move into the new energy phase to balance the outer and inner worlds. This is the beginning of root energy and brings rest, sleep and renewal, a chance for all of life to begin going within and to begin to re-enter the dark womb of the spiritual world. We don't fully enter the dark quite yet but we are preparing and this is where your Autumn Equinox Equilibrium practice will support you in finding the balance of beginning the inner journey whilst still staying partially out in the world.
Think fully supported and restful Restorative Yoga postures which you will sink into and be in for at least 5-10 minutes whilst being accompanied by seasonal poetry and enquiries to prompt self reflection since the Spring Equinox 6 months ago.
Your practice will transition seamlessly into an Autumnally influenced Guided Meditation and Yoga Nidra (conscious guided relaxation) accompanied by the soothing and healing sounds of instruments such as Crystal and Himalayan Singing Bowls, Koshi Chimes and Tuned Pipes.
You will be further soothed with these instruments as you experience the blissfully balancing and healing sounds of a Soundbath, all of which will leave you in a calm and balanced state of body and mind as we ease ourselves into Autumn.
